Veterans United Helps Raise $60,000 for Annual Dream Factory Poker Tournament
Veterans United earned the honor as the presenting sponsor for the Dream Factory of Central Missouri's annual poker tournament, which has collected over $60,000 in donations from various sponsors over its first two years.
Funds from the tournament help make dreams come true for over a dozen children with illnesses or disabilities. Last year's event helped kids live the dream of going to Disney World.
"I just never thought I would have the opportunity to let my children experience the amazement that is Disney," one family wrote. "There simply are no words to say how truly grateful we are."
The Mid-Missouri Dream Factory is one of 38 chapters of the Dream Factory, a national non-profit and one of the largest wish-granting organizations in the country. They have granted over 25,000 dreams, funded solely by donations.
