Gov. Jay Nixon highlighted the incentives Thursday during a stop in Columbia. He says that besides adding jobs, (Veterans United Home Loans) plans to consolidate its three Columbia offices at a single headquarters and offer more products.
(Veterans United) is a 9-year-old company that provides home financing and refinancing for service members, veterans and their families. It currently has about 500 employees.
"We're paranoid," says Brant. "We ask ourselves every day, What could happen to cause trouble for our business? Then we take steps to avoid that happening."
"A VA loan is just an amazing product for eligible men and woman who can't or don't want to come to the table with a sizable down payment," says Nathan Long of Veterans United Home Loans, a Columbia Mo., firm that specializes in VA lending."
(Veterans United) is also proud to have Brian Stann as its official spokesman. Brian urges other veterans to take advantage of the benefits earned by their service. "A VA loan is a hard- earned benefit that helps veterans and their families get a step closer to the American dream and the goal of," Brian said.
Nixon made his statements while touring the offices of (Veterans United), a Columbia-based company that specializes in providing home financing to military veterans.
"The more (jobs) that we add outside of Missouri, the more we add here for support," Nielsen said. "We're becoming part of the community and trying to add positive things."
Gov. Jay Nixon announced today that (Veterans United), a company that specializes in providing home financing to military veterans, will significantly expand its operations in Columbia, creating 300 new jobs over the next five years while further investing into the local economy.
"This year, however, we wanted to concentrate on our immediate community; partnering with the Heart of Missouri United Way made perfect sense. Not once has MRC set goals or standards for corporate giving, but when there is a need, we see an opportunity to let our employees respond."
(Veterans United), which provides home loans for veterans and military personnel, has grown from 136 employees to more than 500 in the past three years, and about 400 of them work at the company's three locations in the city.
"...the company is looking toward providing veterans with financial assistance through all life events and not just through the process of buying homes. This would lend the company an all-encompassing image. The company hopes to build its new brand through more traditional marketing techniques, such as sports sponsorships."
