As careful as I thought I was, being the parent of a first time soldier, I do fully understand the reasons for the precautionary measures. Even now, I'd wear a teeshirt with his picture on it, in uniform, and depending on where I am, I would choose not to go into certain stores. I for one appreciate to the fullest, my FRG for their continued guidance, love and support. They're truly amazing and informed me and others if something posted was not in the best interest of the soldier or family; shortly there after it was removed! We appreciate you all very much and pray that God continues to bless each and everyone of you and our Military!

Being a Vet myself I know the risks we take when deploying. At the time I was in the Military computers were not something everyone had so our risk level was low, however these days you see the friends & parents of some departing soilders posting such information and you sit back and wonder "What are they thinking?" Doing such information posting you can almost expect your husband or child to come home in a body bag. My Reserve Unit's job was toe-tagging and water purefication two jobs that go hand in hand with the other. I'm so glad that during Desert Storm, we did not have access to this information. If you are going to give away the position of your loved one start planning for their funeral right then & there! Follow the protocol that is given to every family when a Loved One is being Deployed...and keep you mouths SHUT!!!
