Ask Granger Smith what he values most in life, and he’ll answer something simple. Country music, family, friends and freedom are likely to top the list, if his hit songs “We Do It In A Field” and “Saturday Night Meets Sunday Morning” are any indication. He’s played by invitation at the White House and has performed for troops overseas in Iraq and Kuwait.

Smith is also a huge fan and participant of the Boot Campaign, a Texas-based grassroots group designed to help Americans show appreciation to troops, past and present. He’s “put his boots on” for the group and walked over 200 miles in combat boots to raise awareness of veterans’ issues.

This native Texan and powerful, heartfelt country songwriter is set to release his ninth studio album on April 16. But he’s not all seriousness.

Earl Dibbles, Jr., Smith’s beer-drinking, tattooed alter ego, has grabbed over two and a half million views of his viral hit “The Country Boy Song.”
