Turkey season is fast approaching, which has most of us thinking about our gear and what may need to be upgraded for the upcoming season. While we can’t go into exactly what’s in your vest, we can talk about what is in mine.
Before turkey vests became popular, hunters would stuff everything they could fit in their fatigues and hope they can access it quickly enough for the current situation. According to recent studies, the mild winter should provide the deer population with more options when searching for food. This means an increase in the deer population, due to the ability to avoid predators. While this should lead to an outstanding hunting season this fall, this also means watch the roads because a higher population means more accidents involving deer.
