The real estate, rental and leasing industry averaged 77 work-related deaths per year from 2008 to 2011. Of the 60 fatal injuries reported in 2011, 19 of those deaths were homicides.
Real estate is a dangerous field, and it’s imperative for agents to prioritize their safety. But what’s the best way to be safe on the job?
Join Veterans United Network real estate writer Jessi Hall in a “Real Estate Agent Safety” Google+ Hangout at 2 p.m. EST on Wednesday, August 21. Personal security expert Tracey Hawkins and real estate agents Amy Ruiz, Rich Cederberg, Alissa Gerke, Nancy Yeager and Sean Moore will discuss how to stay safe in the following situations:
- In the office
- Walking to your car
- During a private showing or open house
- In the car with a client
Have a safety question for Tracey? Post your question and watch the event live on the Veterans United Google+ profile.
