Could ask for a better group of people to work with. They worked very well with us being in 3 different time zone and were very clear and concise with answers to questions we had and didn’t use a ton of industry terminology that could be confusing

Best one stop shop from start to finish. Loved having a “to do list” to always check and make sure nothing was being held up on our end. Couldn’t be more pleased with Bert Shaw and hopefully we can work with him again in the next few years when we transfer again.
VU is the most professional grou and team that I have eaver had the pleasure to wirk with in any capacity. The leadership and teamwork and asistance they provide is second to none. In home buying through my experience most everyone a buyer has to deal with is as slippery as an eel and leaves the slime to be cleaned up after. The VU team answered any questions I had with the most straight forward and honest information even if it was something that wasn't exactly how I felt I wanted to hear it. I hope that in the future I can reach out and work with the team again in perhaps another way. Excellent group!
The Virginia real estate agent that was assigned to us by your company, could have been better. When I wanted to use my own real estate agent it was frowned upon and when I asked that question, the tone in the voice changed and was given a little attitude. I think I would have had a better experience with my own personal realtor I wanted in the beginning.Our New York realty team was superb! Definitely the best thing out of this whole experience!!Mason Maddox should really have some customer service training to learn how to better talk to clients, realtors, & attorneys. I get it, you may not understand a different states laws or whatever, but I think staying in communication with your clients and not being condescending when questions are asked. He was not pleasant with our realtor or attorney when speaking with them.I understand our file was probably longer than expected on all ends but it doesn’t give you a right to treat people like crap.

Veterans United has been the best company that I have ever used to finance a mortgage. This is the 3rd home that I have bought and they were leaps and bounds ahead of the game. The open lines of communication were huge to me, needing to know where we were at and what I needed to do to ensure we closed on time. There was a bit of a mad dash right before close but they worked hard to get it done and it paid off. New York state is a tough state to purchase a home in so I am thankful for the team I had. Highly Recommend.
More communication would have been better. I had to drive a long way from where I live to where I purchased my home and asked to know everything I would need for closing. The extra fee for the radon test could have been discussed and explained but I was surprised and didn’t have my check book because I wasn’t aware I needed it.
I would not recommend Veterans United to any vets looking to purchase. My attorney warned me and I chose not to listen, I wish I had!! The flow of information was atrociously poor at times, which make a stressful situation even more stressful!! There were some bright spots in the loan process timeline, but those were unfortunately overshadowed by the numerous grey clouds that frequently popped up through the process.
