VU made the process very easy. Although we had to provide duplicate information in some instances, this seems to be pretty standard in the home-buying process and didn't particularly bother us. It was nice to find out that VU mortgages about 70% of the loans that are processed through them, too. Thanks for making our first time purchase smooth and for accommodating our seller's short window for closing!!!
I heard in my closing date that real estate agents have a really hard time with VA loan companies because it takes double the time. My experience was ok, the job got done, but after many headaches and problems communicating with my loan officer. He would be out of the office on vacation, for a wedding, sick, medical appointments, or gone for the day. His assistant never called back when left a message and picked up the phone 2 times out of 10. There is definetly room for improvement.
