The veterans united app is my favorite part about the company. It makes viewing your documents, viewing the loan progression stages, & getting updates quick and easy to understand. They even have built in lessons to teach about the stages as you go!

The underwriter was the real issue here. They kept moving the goal posts so to speak when we had an excellent profile for receiving a loan. They would not accept my letter of intent for military orders and kept increasing my cash to close value for no apparent reason. I would definitely not recommend this company to anyone I know because of how difficult this underwriter made things. They also had very unrealistic expectations on how long it takes to do things in the home buying process. We had to extend our closing twice because they did not realize that approvals and forms do not happen instantly. Overall, I was super hopeful at first being a 1st time home buyer, but by the end I was super disappointed and wish I had gone with a different lender. As a company with Veteran's in their name, they really do not understand what being in the military is like and what can and cannot be done.
Shout out to Brad!!! (because he wasn’t an option on here). I love that he was also a veteran so I feel like we bonded over that even if it was over phone calls.
I truly appreciate every single member of my team and I couldn’t have done it without you guys 20 out of 10 all around (you know except for the real estate agent) but yes, I was very grateful and truly blessed to have such a great team. My first conversation with Ashlyn with VU was very informative, she took her time to explain the home buying process. Rob & Cheyanne explained in detail what another lender wouldn’t take the time to explain to me. The other lender would always give me the run around about closing costs and they would take days if they got back to me. Ashlyn, Rob, and Cheyanne responded quickly, and when I asked the same question twice sometimes to make sure I understood it, they would take their time to explain everything and provide me with paperwork to back up what they said. They all were AWESOME to work with. My experience with VU was outstanding! They helped our dream come true. Thank you!
