Our VA Home Loan experts are dedicated to their mission of helping service members, present and past, and their families finance the home of their dreams using the benefits earned through their service.
The VA Loan has many advantages that make it one of the most appealing paths to homeownership — and this great benefit is reserved exclusively to those who bravely served our country and select military spouses.
When combined, the benefits of the VA mortgage allow service members and veterans to take advantage of substantial cost savings under qualification requirements designed specifically for members of the military and their unique needs.
No private mortgage insurance and low, competitive rates mean lower monthly payments.

In general, a veteran is eligible if he or she meets any one of these requirements:
Served 181 days during peacetime (Active Duty)
Served 90 days during wartime (Active Duty)
Served 6 years in the Reserves or National Guard
You are the spouse of a service member who was killed in the line of duty
Refinancing with a VA Loan
Through the powerful VA Loan program, those eligible are also able to refinance in a couple of different ways. The most popular types of refinance options include the VA Streamline Refinance (also known as an Interest Rate Reduction Refinance Loan, or IRRRL) and a VA cash-out refinance.
Streamline Refinances allow veterans with a VA Loan already to refinance to a lower interest rate. Cash-Out Refinances give the borrower the opportunity to use the equity of the home and use it as cash.
Also known as a VA IRRRL, this option is great for existing VA Loan holders looking to realize significant savings and take advantage of lower interest rates.
An option for those with a VA or conventional loan looking to take advantage of the equity in their homes to access cash for home improvements, emergencies, paying off debt or any other purpose.
With favorable interest rates, many potential homeowners are deciding now is the time to buy. Luckily, through the VA Loan program, you can capitalize on these historic rates.
Although your interest rate is influenced by a variety of factors, all VA Loans are backed by the federal government, ensuring lenders such as Veterans United can charge competitively low interest rates.
For many military families and veterans, establishing a pristine credit score is difficult and often the biggest obstacle to purchasing the home of your dreams.
Fortunately, Veterans United Home Loans offers a credit building program free of charge. This service helps veterans and military families rebuild their credit and get you on the right track to purchasing a home.
