VA Loan Limit Calculator
While the Department of Veterans Affairs does not set a maximum loan amount on the VA Loan Program, the VA does, however, impose a limit on the amount they will guarantee, and this number varies by the location in which you decide to purchase your home. Find the VA loan limit amount for your area by entering your state and city below.
The VA Loan Limits portrayed in the calculator apply to loans closed from January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2013.
These rates, set by the Department of Veterans Affairs, are based heavily on the typical cost of a home in that particular state, county or city. In general, most cities have a loan limit of $417,000; however, more expensive regions of the country have higher VA Loan Limits that exceed that amount.
If a veteran has previously used their VA Loan benefit, and the entitlement has not been restored, the guaranty amount may need to be reduced accordingly to reflect the lasting entitlement. If you have questions on your entitlement, contact Veterans United Home Loans.
