Buying a home was easy.
Everyone at VU was terrific. You saved me a lot of money, even with my insurance!!The only issue I had with VU was the underwriting process. Some of the tasks could have been clearer and added extra stress. I suggest re-evaluating all the deeply personal information required, which seemed excessive.Additionally, wire transfers should be allowed from Fidelity. That process was challenging, and in the end, I had to personally go into my bank - not having stepped foot in it in almost 25 years to get a cashier's check. Having to do this only introduced human error into the mix of an already stressful process. With my exceptional credit rating, satisfying the underwriters made me feel I was untrustworthy and left me concerned that the process was rife with potential identity theft. If I knew I'd have to go through the underwriter's process again, I may rethink going with VU.
I was very blessed to have my team as they all worked on my behalf to secure a unique home. I always could count on quick responses to any question by one or another person of my loan team, and so I felt secure in the process. I am very happy today with my beautiful new home, and to have all the kind, thoughtful, and sincere daily effort that they performed to get me here. Thank you all!
