Amazing amazing team from beginning to end.
We did not close on time due to a very slow appraisal process, an overly detailed loan officer interrogation. This was then followed by a lengthy underwriting process.Most to do items were responded nearly immediately on our end. Having been through the home buying process several times (Loan Depot, Bank of America, USAA, Discover, etc), this was by far the slowest one due to the lender.
Working with this VA team was a blessing. Spencer, Kelsey, and Cameron to name a few. Spencer made sure that all of my questions and needs are met. Kelsey took my worries away and it didn’t cost me a whole lot. Kelsey made sure I have what I need to move in. Cameron stayed on me to make sure I submit all the required documents. This team did not fail me and in a world where feeling appreciated is a minimum, they made me feel on top of the world. I really really really appreciate them.
It was a very seamless process and I was living overseas at the time, attempting to buy a home state side. Change in duty station is stressful enough and communication was spot on. They even helped with expediting the closing date to ensure I had a home to go to, rather than paying for more lodging fees. This is the second time I’ve used Veterans United and I will go to them again if I purchase another home.
I tried other places at 1st because some people doubt VU and don't like the way they do things but, that is not true st all. Veteran united has been awesome all the way around. Thanx guys!
I have worked with Denise Stroud three times, and each time I was happy with her performance.
The trouble with VA loans is that the underwriters are way too picky about some things which delays the closing. They need to work with Veteran buyers on waivers and let them decide what repairs they want to handle on their own. Out buildings should be an automatic waiver unless they are a health and safety issue. The VA also needs to consider the moving process better and help Vets get moved, even pay for expenses for service-connected buyers with health problems. It felt like the VA never considered my health issues which made it super hard on me to move.
This team kicked ass! They made buying our first house just a simple checklist instead of a huge headache that I know it normally is. All of the team deserves a raise and bonuses too! Thanks again you guys, you may remember me, but I'll certainly never forget you.
