Veterans United creates Home for Heroes at Mizzou’s Faurot Field

Seats for Service is back again for 2022! Veterans United is proud to renew its campaign in partnership with Mizzou Football to Honor those Who Served.

Veterans United Home Loans and Mizzou Football are teaming up to fund at least 1,500 tickets for Mizzou Home football games, turning Memorial Stadium into a true Home for Heroes. Beginning with the October 1 home game versus Georgia, Veterans and service members are welcome to request two tickets at no cost.

Alumni of the University of Missouri have a proud history of service to our country. Here are just a few historic figures who served.

Lieutenant Stephen W. Thompson, Army Air Service
LT Thompson was the first person in US military history to shoot down an enemy aircraft.
Major General Enoch Crowder, Army
MG Crowder is noted for implementing the Selective Service Act of 1917.
Governor Mel Carnahan, Air Force
Carnahan served as a first lieutenant in the Air Force Office of Special Investigations and later became the governor of Missouri in 1993.
Captain Sam Walton, Army
The founder of Wal-Mart served in the US Army Intelligence Corps, supervising security at aircraft plants and prisoner of war camps.
Colonel Arthur “Bull” Simmons, Army
COL Simmons served in both WWII and the Vietnam War, helping lead an attempted rescue of prisoners of war during the Vietnam War.
