I live in Hallsville, Missouri, a small town just outside of Columbia. Though I call Hallsville home now, I didn’t always have one place to settle. I grew up moving all across the United States, from one military base to another. My dad proudly served over 25 years in the Marine Corps, and as a Marine Corps brat, I grew up in a world shaped by discipline, resilience, and community.
Moving around so much wasn’t always easy, but it gave me something I now consider one of my greatest strengths: perspective. Being exposed to so many different people and cultures at such a young age taught me that, regardless of where we come from, we share something deeply in common—our love for this country and the hope for a good life within it. That lesson has shaped the way I see people, and the way I choose to serve others in return.
In 2016, I married my best friend and partner in life, Erik. Together, we’ve built a home filled with laughter, love, and the happy pitter-patter of our sweet Shih Tzu mix, Luna. She’s our fur baby and constant companion, bringing joy into even the most ordinary days.
Erik and I share a love for travel. Alaska has a special place in our hearts—it’s one of our favorite destinations. When we travel, we don’t just go for the sights; we dive into the food and culture of each place. Exploring how people live, eat, and connect with each other deepens our own appreciation for the world.
I’ve always known I wanted to work with Veterans in some way, and what better way than helping those who have helped keep our homefront safe get into a home?!
