After graduating from University of Central Missouri (formerly Central Missouri State University), Scott began a distinguished career with the United States Army, serving in both the Infantry and Military Intelligence fields. A combat veteran, Scott comes from a proud family tradition of military service dating back to the American Revolution. Service is not just a profession for Scott — it is a lifelong commitment and deeply rooted family legacy.

Following his military career, Scott has continued his mission of service as a dedicated Veteran advocate in his community. He has worked closely with Veterans Courts, supported organizations such as Suits for Soldiers, and organized Military and Veteran Career Fairs to help service members successfully transition into civilian careers.

Scott and his wife — who also comes from a military family — are raising their four children near Missouri’s beautiful Lake of the Ozarks, where they remain actively engaged in supporting military families and Veterans in their community.
