The whole team was top notch!! I have never been treated so well!! I've been going through so much these last few months and this whole team just took all the stress out of the home buying process and I am eternally greatful. I was always treated with kindness and respect. I am highly honored to have been taken care so well by you all!! From the bottom of my heart.... Thank you!

This was my first time buying a home and I came into everything not knowing anything what so ever. Each person on my team explained their roles and what they did and made everything so much easier on me. It took us a while to find our home and everybody was extremely patient with us and exuded professionalism with every interaction.

Overall, the experience was exceptional, especially doing it over the Internet because I am in the Philippines and I bought the house in South Carolina. That was a big challenge and every challenge was me head on and accomplished very professionally.

Veterans United made buying a home simple and relatively streamlined. Their website was the best, and I could see everything about my home buying experience. I felt really respected and in the loop. I'd recommend them to anyone!

Overall the team I was working with felt like the “A” team every question every concern was addressed. It was almost to easy to close on the house. You guys really helped my wife and I out and I’m very grateful that we no have a place secured. Thanks for my first home purchase this one was special as it was my grandmothers home. I can’t say enough great things. Thanks fellas.

Working with the Veterans Home Loan Team was one of the best decisions I made during my home buying journey. From the moment I reached out, their team demonstrated unwavering professionalism, clear communication, and an impressive depth of knowledge about the VA loan process. As a first time home buyer , navigating the mortgage world can be overwhelming, but they made it simple. They broke everything down in a way that was easy to understand, kept me informed at every step, and treated me with respect and gratitude for my service. I never felt like just another customer—they made me feel like family. What stood out the most was their commitment to going above and beyond. They worked around my schedule, answered my questions (even the ones I didn’t know I had), and advocated for my best interest during negotiations. They helped me lock in a great rate and close on time with zero surprises. If you’re a veteran or active-duty service member looking to buy a home, do yourself a favor and call the Veterans Home Loan Team. They know the system, they care about their clients, and they’ll fight for the best outcome every time. I couldn’t be more grateful for their support and expertise.Five stars across the board

Veteran's United makes the process of homebuying very straightforward and simple. The online dashboard is very intuitive and helpful to navigate this often tedious and laborious process. The employees I dealt with were always on point and motivated individuals who were always there when I needed. Highly recommend VU to all.

Jamie was awesome until she either got fired or quit. I couldn’t get her replacement Alyssa to return my text or anything. Not impressed.

VU was recommended to me by a friend and after our experience I would certainly do the same. Every step of the process was easy as could be and our loan team was always fast to respond to any questions we had.

When we started this journey, I was worried that it would be a stressful one but as soon as we got started and I was able to contact my team, i found out why Veterans United has such high praise. Once again, thank you all for making my family feel at ease with this entire home buying process.

Brenda was also great. I go to the library to get online and I needed to fax documents instead of downloading them to your site. It required more work for Brenda and Rich. I was concerned something would become a problem but they both made sure this went smoothly. They were both great. My wife and I now have a BEAUTIFUL retirement home, thanks to Rich and Brenda. Thank you both...

This was my second time using Veterans United, and overall, I had mixed feelings about the experience. While my loan officer was very communicative and informative throughout much of the process, there were a few important areas that left me frustrated.Unlike my first time with Veterans United, I was not involved in the process of locking in my interest rate. I was blindsided when I was simply told that a rate had already been locked without any discussion or input from me. When I asked questions about it, I felt like a burden rather than a valued client. It left me feeling uneasy and a bit mistrustful of the process.Additionally, there was confusion regarding my military service verification. Despite having all necessary documentation the first time I worked with Veterans United, this time I was suddenly asked for additional documents without a clear explanation — I was simply told "things change." This caused unnecessary stress that I feel could have been avoided with better communication.I appreciate my loan officers responsiveness and helpfulness overall, but I wish the experience had been more transparent and consistent, especially given my past positive experience with the company. I most likely will be using a different loan company next time.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Brianna,
Thanks so much for coming back to work with Veterans United a second time, and for sharing such detailed feedback. I’m really sorry to hear this experience didn’t live up to the one you had the first time around. That’s not the feeling we ever want our returning clients — or any of our Veterans — to walk away with.
I completely understand how unsettling it must have been to have your rate locked without your input and to feel out of the loop on something so important. On top of that, having unexpected documentation requests pop up without clear explanations just adds more stress to an already emotional process, and I'm truly sorry for the confusion and frustration it caused.
I'm glad to hear your loan officer was responsive and helpful overall, but sounds like we missed the mark in a few critical areas that mattered to you. If you’d be willing, I’d love for our Client Advocate team to connect with you to hear a little more and to make sure your concerns are shared with our leadership team. You can reach us at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’re in the office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST Monday through Friday, but feel free to reach out anytime and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.

Would recommend Veterans United in a heartbeat.

Mallory was impossible to get a hold of even during her advertised hours. She never answered her phone once after her initial reaching out. She never called me back when I left a message. Seller almost backed out of deal because she was insisting on a type of fire insurance policy that DOES NOT EXIST for mobiles. She took her sweet time writing an “exception” so we could use the CA fair plan insurance. She was not prudent with details of the sale and allowed the homes well water inspection to expire resulting in the need for a 2nd well test at sellers expense. This further delayed close 20 something days.
Mallory has a very experienced background and appears to be highly intelligent. I can’t understand why she allowed my home purchase to go the way it did.
