The company overall did a great job

Exceptional group of people, could not be in better hands felt comfortable throughout the whole experience.

If you’re looking for a team that goes above and beyond, look no further than Veterans United Home Loans. From start to finish, this entire team had my back like a well-oiled machine. Every time I had a question or needed something done, they didn’t just meet my expectations, they crushed them. They kept me in the loop at all times, making sure I was never left wondering what was going on. I swear they must have had a direct line to my thoughts because they always stayed one step ahead!Huge shoutout to the entire team, seriously, these guys didn’t miss a beat. They made the home-buying process feel like a breeze, which is saying a lot considering how stressful it can be. I don’t know if they run on coffee or pure determination, but whatever it is, it works! I’d ask for something, and boom, it was already done. They didn’t just do their job, they did it with care, efficiency, and a level of dedication that’s hard to find these days. But I have to take a moment to talk about Jordan Powell, my loan officer. If you’re lucky enough to get him, consider yourself blessed. This guy is a rockstar! Jordan was always ten steps ahead, making sure I had zero worries and that everything was handled perfectly. He got things done faster than I could blink, and he always had my best interest in mind. I’m pretty sure if there was an Olympic event for loan officers, Jordan would bring home the gold.To anyone out there thinking about going with Veterans United, DO IT. I can’t recommend them enough. They took care of me like family, and I know they’ll do the same for you. If you’re lucky enough to get Jordan Powell, just know you’re in the best hands possible. This team doesn’t just get the job done, they set the gold standard.10/10, highly recommend, and I’d do it all over again without hesitation. Thanks again to Veterans United and the dream team that made it all happen!

Darrin & his team are amazing! They guided us in the right direction & put our minds at ease every step of the way!

Everyone displayed superb customer service and worked so hard to help me find a home I can be happy in for a very long time.

Closing was cancelled with no prior notice. We found out that closing was cancelled from our realtor and notary halfway through our trip from New Mexico to Missouri because our loan coordinator went on vacation and didn't finish processing the information we sent a head of time. Then an extension had to be filed costing us more money for VU dropping the ball. On top of that, the staff was almost insulting from their lack of knowledge on how transferring teaching license works and put my wife in hot water at the new job she was getting from VU employees harassing them on if my wife was actually getting the job or if she was even qualified for it ( My wife has her Masters and getting her PhD for teaching I might add) even after sending the required intent to hire letter. Deena was impossible to ever get ahold of, and Nathan was far more accessible than she was. The cherry on top was then the team we worked with was working harder to push all the blame on us instead of owning up to their mistake. A simple example being a very early document from VU had the address wrong on one of the initial documents from VU but it's still our fault....

Hey Nicholas,
This one hits hard, and I want to start by saying how sorry I am that your experience with us added stress to what should’ve been an exciting move. You deserved better.
Hearing that you learned your closing was cancelled midway through a cross-country trip—through your realtor and notary no less—is incredibly frustrating. That’s not how this process should go, and I can’t imagine how that disruption and confusion felt in the moment. Adding extra costs to the mix only makes it more frustrating, and I hear you loud and clear: this delay wasn’t on you.
What you described around your wife’s employment documentation is especially upsetting. I’m really sorry our team’s actions made her feel scrutinized or doubted, especially when she went above and beyond in providing what was asked. That should have been the end of the conversation. I understand how this added unnecessary pressure at a time when she was stepping into a new role—and doing so with credentials that speak for themselves.
It also sounds like you had to chase answers when you should’ve been getting clear and timely updates. You should have had someone in your corner, advocating for you, not making you feel blamed or brushed off.
I’d really like my advocates to have the chance to look deeper into everything that happened. If you or your wife are open to it, please reach out to me directly at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. I want to make sure your feedback gets in front of the right people here.

Ginny and her team were phenomenal. Always a step ahead of what needs to be done. The VU app was easy to use and made things seamless. Definitely recommend VU to any Veteran looking to use their benefits!!

Totally reactive. Not proactive at all.

Hey Brandon,
I’m really sorry to hear that’s how your experience felt. We aim to be one step ahead during every part of the homebuying journey, and it sounds like we missed the mark for you. That kind of feedback hits hard, but it’s also important—and we’re paying attention.
I'd love for my advocates to have the opportunity to understand what happened so we can look into it and learn where we could’ve done better. If you’re open to talking more, our Client Advocate team would really like to hear from you. You can reach us at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’re here Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST, and always happy to listen.
Too many people to send information to should be dealing with one person to be less confused on documents needed..staff was very knowledgeable but I don't use the verbage that they use every day. Needs to be simplified. Not everyone is tech savvy. Much of older veterans are old school. Have a conversation

Hello Michael,
Thanks so much for your honest feedback. I’m really sorry to hear how confusing and overwhelming the process felt at times. You're absolutely right—when multiple people are reaching out and using industry lingo that’s not second nature, it can make everything feel more complicated than it needs to be.
It’s great to hear that the team was knowledgeable, but if the communication left you feeling lost or frustrated, that’s something we need to look at. You’re not alone in wanting more clarity and a more personal, conversational approach—especially for our older veterans who prefer to keep things straightforward.
If you're open to talking more, I’d really appreciate my advocacy team hear about what would’ve made the experience smoother for you. You can reach us at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We're in the office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST Monday through Friday, but please reach out whenever works for you.
Eli was phenomenal!!!!
