We recently closed on our new condo and couldn’t be happier with the experience thanks to Cole and his team. They were incredibly responsive and moved quickly to get our loan closed on time. Cole is genuine and easy to work with, he made what can be a stressful process feel smooth and straightforward. We had many questions throughout the process, and they were always patient, transparent, and gave us honest and clear answers every single time.Their online portal is easy to use. We were able to upload everything securely without any issues. Would definitely recommend Cole and Veterans United to all my friends and family!
Initial contact was met with hubris and a bit of arrogance when asked about capability regarding expedited process. Excusable if it is warranted but we closed two days late and critical milestones I wanted met were not.
I was told by the team as long as I provide responses within 24 hours, my timeline would be met and that also turned out not to be the case.My rate I was given as an estimate was no higher than 5.4%. I understand if I landed in the upper echelon of that, but even an estimate was off as my rate was 5.65%. If their estimates are this wrong and start the process and find out the. u estimates aren’t accurate it’s hard to turn back at that point.I found myself having to essentially check in almost daily to get a response and updates.There was a significant lack of attention to detail. They asked for emails, did not check them and could cost me ~$700+ at closing due to missed email attachments and not being thorough in their process.I would be hard pressed to use VU again whether it’s for my next property or refinancing. When buying a $1M+ home, I expect better. If performed like this at my job, I’d be out on a performance improvement plan. Not sure how service got significantly worse after buying my first home but sure do not plan on sticking around to see if it gets better.The best part about working with VU is that it is now finally over.

This process was nothing but wonderful. Our loan officer and coordinator was stellar and had great communication and was able to get us to close a week earlier than expected. We also arrived to our home and our son had the most awesome package waiting for hin due to the Veterans United team actually treating us like we were a friend rather than a number.
