U could do better on offering the lowest interest rate for our veterans
I would most definitely recommend VU...the staff was superb and if I had any questions they got back to me right away...Taylor was very friendly and professional. The UV app was very user friendly and the concierge service was the icing on the cake!
Nick Intrieri is AMAZING, and so was everyone else on his team and by his side. He helped us secure our first home, and potential forever home; in an extremely challenging Central Coast of California market that is highly desired for retirees with little to no new housing being developed. Cannot say enough, I can say this though. Our agent (Brooke Sutton) was so impressed with Nick she has highly recommended that my best friend from the Nuclear Navy uses him as they are looking to buy very soon near us; I linked them up today.

I was always under the impression that buying a house would be a very stressful and difficult process. But working with VU completely changed that perspective—it was an unbelievably smooth and straightforward experience. My loan officer, Dustin Johnson, and his team were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and proactive throughout every step. They always kept me informed, answered all my questions promptly, and made sure I understood everything that was happening.Their professionalism and genuine care turned what could have been a nerve-wracking process into something I actually enjoyed. The only downside to closing on my house is that I won’t get to work with Dustin and his team on a daily basis anymore. I truly can’t recommend them enough to anyone looking to buy a home—they made my dream of homeownership a reality, and I’m so grateful for their support.

Our loan agent Tanner Baldwin promised us a great rate of 5.75% at the beginning of our loan application. We were comparing loans with 3 other companies but Tanner Baldwin with Veterans United said he could beat the interest rate and closing costs. We gave $10,000 as a good faith deposit. Initial loan estimates indicated we would receive approximately $5800 back from our deposit with a 5.75% loan rate. It seems like fees would change daily and at one point we saw our loan estimate indicating that we were receiving $119 back from our $10,000 deposit. My wife and I were frustrated and confused on how the fees could change so drastically. Tanner didn't seem to know how to explain this and most of the time we would only receive an automated email and not even a phone call to inform us of these new fees.
I finally asked to speak to a Manager . I spoke to Vishal Patel, and he was able to answer most of my questions and seemed more knowledgeable about the transaction. We also worked with Walter Burks and he was great at his job and very informative. If it weren't for Vishal and Walter this loan would not have happened and we were ready to cancel everything. In the end we paid a higher rate than we expected but received most of our $10,000 deposit. Overall this experience was stressful and confusing at times.

You should always feel confident in what to expect throughout the process, and it’s disappointing to hear that communication didn’t provide the clarity you needed. That’s especially true when important financial details are changing, and it sounds like we fell short in making sure everything was fully explained along the way.

Steve was fantastic to work with throughout our refinance process. He originally helped guide us through the process when we were planning to purchase our home, but due to lender issues outside of his control we had to postpone and come back about six months later. When we finally returned to refinance, Steve picked right back up.What really stood out to me was how available he made himself.
