I first reached out to Veterans United, along with a few other lenders, in April 2025 to begin my home-buying journey. At the time, I was going through a transition in my career that affected my ability to qualify for a home. Almost every lender I had spoken with eventually stopped following up with me, except Veterans United.Veterans United was the only lender that stayed in contact with me for nearly a year until I was in a position to move forward with purchasing a home. Veteran’s United was also the only lender willing to pre-qualify us for loan amount we needed at the time given our high DTI. I am very grateful for Don and his team for doing everything he could do to help us get qualified. The follow-ups and check-in messages Don would send throughout the first few months made it feel like a personal connection supporting me towards getting pre qualified. Even though I wasn’t ready to buy yet, he maintained a professional relationship with me and was there when I was finally ready to begin the process.Once I was back on my feet and ready to move forward, Veterans United supported me throughout the entire home-buying process.
