The process was fairly painless, purchasing a home is never stress free, with the team I had I nearly was sleepwalking through it.
Overall the process was smooth. It was difficult being a service member overseas trying to coordinate everything. Working the homeowners insurance was confusing and seemed like we were only being offered very expensive quotes. USAA insurance was much cheaper for the same coverage. Coordinating the closing documents with the title company was also confusing and not a lot of communication, leaving unsure what we were supposed to do the day of closing. I know this was just part of the difficulties being overseas, but earlier communication would’ve helped.

Loan process was seamless from.the beginning. Many vets with PTSD don't like to communicate via telephone and VU made.it very easy with electronic communication unless I desired otherwise.
