My entire experience with Veterans United was exceptional. Since 2013 my family and I had been looking for a new home and I contacted VU to help me with my VA loan, but nothing ever panned out. It wasn’t until 2025 that we finally found the right place. Within that 12 year period, I was never pressured to do anything or rush into a property that was not right for me and my family. Daren Bodine, my loan officer, was extremely patient, supportive, and patient the entire time. I cannot express enough gratitude to Daren and how patient he has been.

Very trustworthy and great communication with every step of the process. Made it a very quick and easy process

In a time in history and country where daily news shows only constant turmoil and death seemingly to be near imploding in America, Veterans United and its team member hold that torch of hope lighting the way and helping those that sacrificed so much overseas only to return to face battling for already deserved and earned benefits. VU is the real deal!!God Bless Veterans United!!Semper FiAndrew Westbrook

Amazing service, all questions were answered in detail and more importantly everything was informative.

Aaron Thomasson has been a blast to work with, and the rest of the staff. I hope to work with them in the future again!

Look, loan officer was great, underwriter, not so much. Contradicting issues, I know they’re given strict guidelines but at same time I know interpretationsh differ. So telling me it’s needed ain’t quite true. You need proof of income, not necessarily my name on bank accounts, etc. the fact that I had to add my name to accounts that I didn’t want my name on pisses me off to no end.
Response from Veterans United
Hello Robert,
I really appreciate you calling this out, and I’m sorry the underwriting process left you feeling frustrated—especially when it came to the documentation requests and how they were explained. I can understand how being asked to change something as personal as your financial accounts would feel like too much, and it’s frustrating when guidelines feel like they’re being interpreted in ways that don’t quite add up.
It’s great to hear your loan officer was supportive, but I’d really like for my advocate team to take a closer look at what went on with the rest of your experience. If you're open to talking more about it, you can reach me at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’re here from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST Monday through Friday, but feel free to reach out whenever it’s convenient for you.

The whole team was great. Everyone who had a hand in making our purchase happen were very professional and helpful.

Matt and my Entire TEAM stayed with throughout the entire home buying process. Matt, Abbey and Vickie kept me up-to-date with vital information I needed to know and helped me feel more “At Ease” through that underwriting process. They answered Every question I had with accuracy and speed. I got approved because of Matt’s professional expertise & knowledge. I view Matt as a true asset to VU! Thanks Again!!! Bought 2 homes and each time I’ve went with Veterans United. Could not recommend them enough!

Dean Crippen and Neisha were great to work with. Dean was quick to respond to any questions and almost always answered my calls. Neisha was very efficient and timely in getting all the boxes checked to get us to closing.
