Veterans United Home Loans joins Military Spouse Employment Partnership

November 5, 2013

The partnership helps the company reach out to military spouses across the country

WASHINGTON, D.C. Veterans United Home Loans, the nations leading dedicated VA lender, announced its induction into the Department of Defense Military Spouse Employment Partnership. The career partnership connects more than 200 partner companies to military spouses aiding them with educational materials, work experience and employment opportunities. The partnership signifies Veterans United's commitment to spouses of those who serve.

"We are quick to praise our veterans and service members and rightly so," said Amanda Andrade, chief people officer for Veterans United. But we also have an opportunity to remember those who choose to serve by marrying a service member. Our military spouses are often the backbone of our service members and we need to take the time to acknowledge all they do. We are honored to partner up with the Military Spouse Employment Partnership and concentrate on these behind the scene heroes.

Veterans United currently employs more than 30 military spouses. The company is active in military family career fairs, provides educational tools for spouses and understands the flexibility needed when employing a military spouse.

Military Spouse Employment Partnership was launched by Dr. Jill Biden and MSEP partners have hired more than 43,000 military spouses since it began in 2011. Veterans United was one of 30 companies at the 2013 MSEP Partner Induction ceremony.
