Veterans United Home Loans Ranks No. 27 on Fortune Magazine's 100 Best Companies to Work For List

March 9, 2017

COLUMBIA, Mo. Veterans United Home Loans is honored to announce it is one of the 2017 Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For, according to global research and consulting firm Great Place to Work® and Fortune Magazine. The full-service lender focuses on VA Home Loans and was chosen as No. 27 on the list that recognizes companies with exceptional workplace culture. This marks the second year in a row Veterans United made the list, last year coming in at No. 30.

With more than 2,300 employees in 21 states, each day is focused on helping Veterans and their families secure homeownership. Its success as a great place to work is based on the commitment to live out its employee-created values: Be Passionate and have fun, Deliver Results with integrity and Enhance Lives every day.

Being on Fortune's 100 Best Companies list is exciting to us because it's a direct reflection of the culture our employees promote, said Nate Long, CEO for Veterans United. There is no one individual that makes our company special. It's about the collective effort. Our employees go above and beyond every day to support each other, while serving our nation's Veterans and service members. We not only love what we do, but we also love the people we do it with. That's what makes us all so proud to be a part of Veterans United.

The top 100 list is based on employee ratings of their workplace culture, including the level of trust they feel toward their leaders, the pride they take in their jobs and the camaraderie they experience with co-workers. Veterans United was ranked the third highest company on the list of 50 Best Workplaces for Giving Back by Great Place to Work® and Fortune last month. In the last year, the company has also ranked on the 50 Best Workplaces for Women, 50 Best Workplaces for Camaraderie and 30 Best Workplaces for Financial Services and Insurance, coming in at No. 5 on that list in 2016.

Congratulations to the 100 Best, said Michael C. Bush, CEO for Great Place to Work. These leading companies are at the vanguard of a new business frontier, where organizations know they have to develop the full human potential of all their employees. They are working to build Great Places to Work for all, which are better for business, better for people and better for the world.
