Veterans United passes 1,000 employees nationwide - company now Columbia's 4th largest private employer
COLUMBIA, Mo. — Veterans United Home Loans announced today it surpassed the 1,000 employee mark, and now sits at 1,006 nationwide. In Columbia alone it has 719 employees, which makes it the city's fourth largest private employer according to fall 2011 numbers from Regional Economic Development, Inc..
"We really just want to say thank you to each and every one of our employees for what they have built here at Veterans United," said Nate Long, company CEO. "We reached 1,000 employees because of their efforts to enhance the lives of veterans and service members. From Columbia we serve the entire country, and have been able to grow to offices in 22 states that are dedicated to helping military men and women use the VA Loan benefits they have earned through their service."
Of Veterans United's 1,006 employees, 667 call Boone County home. Company employees include accounting, business development, customer service, human resources, information technology, legal, marketing, mortgage and real estate professionals.
