Veterans United Home Loans recognized for second straight year as one of the Achievers 50 Most Engaged Workplaces in North America

June 6, 2016

COLUMBIA, Mo.- Veterans United Home Loans was recognized as one of the Achievers 50 Most Engaged Workplaces in North America. The national lender focuses on VA Home Loans and is one of 50 companies awarded the honor. The annual award recognizes top employers that display leadership and innovation in engaging their workplaces.

Engaging employees and promoting positive workplace culture are now top priorities for business leaders in North America, and the elite companies on this list are already ahead of their peers and seeing positive effects from their programs, said David Brennan, Achievers General Manager. This award validates these companies commitments to creating a people-first focus and recognizes how having an engaged workplace has positive impacts across the business. Our sincere congratulations to all of the 2016 winners!

The Achievers 50 Most Engaged Workplaces Awards panel of judges evaluated each applicant based on the Eight Elements of Employee Engagement, Communication, Leadership, Culture, Rewards & Recognition, Professional & Personal Growth, Accountability & Performance, Vision & Values and Corporate Social Responsibility.

The panel of judges included various academics and thought leaders on employee engagement, and included representation from organizations such as the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), HR Technology Conference, and HRO Today.

"When you ask our employees what they like most about working at Veterans United, most will say it's the family feel of our culture," said Amanda Andrade, chief people officer at Veterans United. "We see it every day when employees are so engaged as they work together to serve those who have served our country. They continue to build the strength of our culture through living our values and showing kindness and respect to everyone. Thank you to Achievers for building a process that highlights commitments to an enhanced work environment and better outcomes through engagement."

Veterans United will be honored alongside other recipients of the Achievers 50 Most Engaged Workplaces Award at the awards gala on September 12 at the Steam Whistle Brewery in Toronto.
