We had an absolutely outstanding experience with Veterans United Home Loans from start to finish. As first-time homebuyers, we expected the process to be stressful and confusing, but they made everything smooth, fast, and incredibly organized. The communication was top-notch the entire way through. We always had someone available to answer questions, explain the next steps, and keep us updated. It never felt like we were left wondering what was going on. Every person we worked with was professional, responsive, and genuinely cared about helping us succeed. What impressed us most was how efficiently they handled everything. Not only did they keep the process moving, they actually got us to closing THREE WEEKS EARLY. That kind of dedication and teamwork is hard to find.If you’re looking for a lender that communicates well, works quickly, and truly supports veterans and homebuyers throughout the entire process, we cannot recommend Veterans United highly enough. They exceeded every expectation we had.
Love the amount of help and reassurance I received while buying my family their first home! The connections with everyone at first was really overwhelming but everyone on the team has bee nothing but helpful and so patient with us making sure we were able to move into our home without issues.
Buying a house is extremely complicated, but Chris and his team were able to help me buy a house even under some extreme circumstances. I recommend Chris Holman and his assistant Marina anytime! The people that work at the VA aren’t just working for paychecks. they actually care!
Asli, Lauren, and Rae were outstanding! They were always quick to answer any questions I had and point me in the right direction if I felt lost. Would highly recommend!
Very professional and helpful, kept me informed about everything. Would definitely recommend you to anyone..

Bill and his team blew us out of the water. The home buying process can be daunting and intimidating. From the very beginning we were welcomed with a clear and informative line of communication to answer any questions we had. Punctual responses were extremely helpful to the smooth process of going from pre-approval to keys in hand in under 2 months. Somehow with all that efficiency every single member of Bill's team himself included showed a level of professionalism, compassion, and care with every call. The only downfall is that we can only give one 10☆ rating and not more. We will only recommend Bill and his team along with veterans united to everyone going forward.
Matt and Tara were great, they kept me informed and worked tirelessly to make my refi as easy as possible!
I was very nervous the team told me what I needed to do every step of the way it went so smooth.
We found many issues with this house a couple days before buying, when we tried to back out, we were told we would be sued for breach of contract. Now we're stuck with it and it has at least 3 leaks in the roof, the sellers broke a window before we bought it, the walls are coming apart at the ceiling, and we continue to find more and we've only bought it 7 days ago!
Response from Veterans United
Hi Lonnie,
I’m really sorry you’re dealing with all of this, especially so soon after buying your home. That’s incredibly stressful, and I understand why you’re feeling upset. While the VA appraisal is meant to assess the home’s value at face value, it doesn’t identify or predict underlying condition issues, which is why a separate home inspection is always recommended. That said, I hear how overwhelming this feels, and I’m sorry this has been your experience.
I’d appreciate the chance to learn more and see how we can help talk through what happened. Please reach out to our Client Advocate team at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’re available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST, and typically respond the next business day if you contact us after hours.
Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager
