We started this whole home buying journey back in 2023, and at that time we were already preapproved with three different lenders, so we’ve dealt with lenders and banks trying to sell us their products, pushing things we didn’t ask for, and not really giving us the information we needed. As first time homebuyers, we didn’t want sales pitches; we wanted knowledge, clarity, and someone who could actually guide us.Fast forward to this year, and we were struggling again with two different lenders. Communication was terrible. Loan officers kept changing – five times total – and every time we’d get an email saying someone new was assigned to our file. For first time homebuyers, that’s wild.
