Difficult to get ahold of, help was miniscule. Nothing explained well and fees and add ons kept going up.

We were told several times….”everything looks good” to be told two days later they needed something else. Originally we were supposed to close the end of the month in June, but it was pushed back to July. We were asked about our HOA- there is not one on June 14….. then on the 29 they started looking for verification.
There were also additional costs that we were not informed at the beginning of the process, such as an appraisal and a bug check. Since there are apparently routine we should have been informed. The notary that came for the signing was the only competent person that we worked with- and she was an outsider person they hired for the signing.

Hi Jeremiah,
I'm sorry to hear your experience didn't meet your expectations. I can understand how frustrating it would be to hear everything was on track, only to be asked for additional information later and have your closing delayed. I also understand how disappointing it would be to encounter unexpected costs and feel like those expenses weren't clearly communicated from the beginning.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I'd like the chance to learn more about what happened and better understand your experience. Please reach out to me at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. The Client Advocate team is available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time. If you contact us after hours, we'll typically respond the next business day.
Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager

Very easy and straight forward process. Everyone on the team was terrific . Adam and Amanda did an amazing job .

Amazing lender and they put me on to a great real estate agent. All I had to do was sign documents and look at homes. They took care of everything and I didn’t have to pay anything at closing except inspection

As a retired Marine, I have to admit that the commitment to us, as vets, was never demonstrated as thoroughly as by this organization.
The attention to detail was of paramount importance.
I felt that I was a VIP. The guidance they provided, allowed me to stay on top of all of the red tape and kept the purchase of my home from becoming overwhelming.
Good job!

Michael was awesome to work with. He made this experience so easy and stress free, and it was clear right away that he had our best interests at heart. I would and will recommend Veterans United to my fellow Marines.

The entire team that was assigned to me showed an exceptional display of professionalism and promptness from start to finish. With any transaction there were hurdles and every time we where able to get over them with ease. I really appreciate the in depth help that everyone has given me. Highly recommend to any Veteran.

Katelynn was great. Becky as well

The entire Veterans United team was so helpful, and we could not have gotten into our new home without them! We are so thankful for this group and highly recommend them! The process was easy to understand and the communication was outstanding! They are a top-notch group of professionals, and they get our highest recommendation! You will not be disappointed.

Ken O. My loan officer was outstanding and was always responsive when I had questions or wanted clarification.

We recently closed on our dream property — a remote off-grid Earthship home in the Colorado mountains — and Veterans United made what could have been an incredibly stressful process feel manageable every step of the way.Our Loan Officer Toby and Senior Loan Coordinator Levi were outstanding. This wasn't a straightforward transaction by any stretch. Toby and Levi stayed on top of every moving piece, communicated clearly, and never made us feel like we were out of options when new hurdles popped up.What stood out most was the genuine commitment to getting us to the finish line. Veterans United clearly understands that VA loans aren't just a product — they're a benefit earned through service — and the team treats them that way. We felt supported, not just processed. We closed on time, in a home we love, and we couldn't be more grateful. If you're a veteran looking for a lender that actually goes to bat for you, look no further than Veterans United. Thanks for making our dream come true!

Chase, Andrew, Gavin and the whole team were great. They were all very responsive and helpful.

They are amazing, always there for any questions.

Derek worked very hard for us getting refinanced!

Chase is awesome he always stayed in touch with emails or phones calls about our refinance. He answered all our questions.

Process was smooth and not stressful. Easy to follow on what documentation was needed how to provide it.
