Jake McQuitty was very informative and helpful.
This process has been amazing going through Veterans United. My team was absolutely amazing!
This is the third house I have financed in my life. Veteran's United was hands down the best experience I have had by far. Taylyn was amazing and answered the phone every single time I called. Tyler the realtor, that they set me up with was amazing as well. I never doubted that when I had a question it would be answered instantly. The team that I had was absolutely incredible and I will recommend them to anyone.
Amazing team very professional and caring

Tyler did a great job for us.
They have several people that handle things for you at different stages of your loan. All were very helpful
I have been trying to get Veterans United to recognize Disabled Veterans for property Tax purposes Ryley doesnt seem to understand that in the state of New Mexico they signed in there constitution Disabled veterans are exempt based on there percentage of disability they get that percentage off of there property tax. Example Im 80% disabled so I get 80% off my property tax. I have certification from the VA of that exemption and have uploaded to the VU's portal plus a 10,000 property tax exemption. I have filed these exemptions with the Valencia County Tax Assessors office. But the property tax is still on my loan documents. Fidelity Escrow here in New Mexico knows about this tax exemption but cannot do anything it until VU fixes loan documents.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Stephen,
First, I want to thank you for your service. I’m truly sorry for the frustration this situation has caused.
I can understand how upsetting it must be to have submitted your VA disability documentation and county exemption paperwork, yet still see property taxes reflected in your loan documents. When you’ve taken the proper steps with the VA and the county assessor, you should feel confident the information is being handled correctly.
Property tax exemptions, especially those tied to disability ratings, can involve coordination between the county, escrow, and loan servicing, but that does not make it any less frustrating when things do not appear to reflect what you’ve already provided. I’m sorry this has felt like an ongoing battle.
I would really like the opportunity to personally review your file and better understand what’s happening with the documentation and escrow setup. Please reach out to me directly at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. The Client Advocate team is available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Friday. If you contact us outside those hours, we’ll typically respond the next business day.
You’ve done your part, and you deserve clear answers. I appreciate you bringing this forward and would welcome the chance to help get clarity around it.
Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager

Great company! Very professional and walked me through the home buying process with ease !
Our loan officer, Matt Istwan, was awesome. He went over & beyond all expectations we had. Matt was always professional, courteous, and knowledgeable during the entire process. I can't thank Matt enough for his help with financing our home, he made such a difference during a very stressful home search.
Veterans United made the entire process so easy. It was such a wonderful experience.
This whole process from start to finish was made SO much easier and at no time did I not know what to expect or what was expected of me.
