Listen. If you are serious about owning a home, Veterans United is definitely a preferred option, in my opinion. The steps it took to purchasing our home was frustrating to say the least. In my wife and I case, we were purchasing from our landlord, so a realtor wasn't necessary. However, gathering the necessary documents, coordinating with the different agencies like appraisals, home inspections, insurance, title company, and loads of paperwork, signatures, and questions are still very much a part of the process. Our team, Nick Holman, Courtney Gully, Francie Greene, and the rest of their supporting members were there from the first phone until the closing on our home. They fielded every question, listened to all of our frustration, guided us through the whole process step by step, and we're encouraging, patient, professional, and, most of all, very polite, friendly, and engaging whenever we were in contact with them. I mean they kept in touch by phone, text, and email. Even sent us mail. Who does that in this technology age? Seriously, they were the best team my wife and I could ask for in communicating with us and our landlord to make this dream a reality!! I highly recommend Veterans United to anyone who’s reading this review, or anyone who asks is this company for real. I would highly recommend your company to anyone who qualifies. This entire process was super easy and stress-free. Joel and Micheal both did exceptional jobs at every aspect and did great at keeping me informed every step of the way! Also kept in contact with our realtor and made things so much easier. Dealing with underwriting was frustrating and took way to long over 6 weeks. The rest of the veteran united team was absolutely wonderful. They helped out with any questions we had and were good about getting back to us with answers.

The communication and professionalism from the team was amazing!

I really enjoyed working with Wyatt Robertson. I know he worked really hard to help me buy my first home. He even emailed me late late the night before closing to where I was able to sign things as soon as I woke up to make it easier at closing. His effort, communication and explanation of things through out the whole process was outstanding.

I was expecting the process to buy a home to be hard and stressful. However from the moment we spoke with Zacks team they walked us through the process with ease. Special shout out to Brittany every Friday she lets us know where we were in the process of our loan! We are so very happy.


First off I had told everyone that I was closing on the 16th of May and when it came down to it. Our loan coordinator was gone and so was everyone else that we started working with. When they sent Evan in there was all kinds of problems that we should have been told about like weeks prior to closing but you all waited to the very last minute. Then on top of that the cost at closing just kept going up every time I turned around. I was told that you all even over looked the closing date like you all were unaware that we were to close the 16th.
That then took me out of contract with the sellers because I couldn't close until the 19th.You almost made it near to impossible to deal with when we are under contract and we had deadlines it's like you all didn't care about the real estate deadlines we had to meet.In my opinion this is no way to treat veterans and I still think that after all you put me through you all should have paid for our closing costs because you were the ones that screwed up and took me out of contract with the house. Or you all should reimburse us for those closing fees.You also seem to have made a big deal over such a small loan amount and all of that is unacceptable. There should be no need for half of the things I paid for because we put a ton of money down and had such a small loan.This is no way to take care of veterans at all. You all even made us homeless for a few days and that was unacceptable as well. That is also no way to treat your veterans. These veterans served to give you freedom and you make it seem so impossible to accomplish anything and that is like a punishment to the people giving you freedom.I will never recommend using the VA to anyone after what you all put us through.

Closing delays, last-minute surprises, and being left in limbo without clear communication are frustrating enough, but to hear that it left you temporarily without a home makes it that much more heartbreaking.
You’re right—deadlines in real estate matter, and it’s our responsibility to stay on top of them. It sounds like too many things slipped through the cracks when your team changed over, and that shouldn’t have happened. I also understand your frustration around closing costs, especially when you're putting a significant amount down.
