I wasn’t ever able to get ahold of anyone on my team with veterans united. Nothing was ever explained to me by them and I hate that everything communication wise was done through the app and email.
I asked to do things with pen and paper, because I am not adept with the internet or a computer. They insisted on using internet. That was very frustrating for me. However, Ashley was quite helpful when I hit a snag.
They were very professional.I am proud to meet the Veterans United team.
The process was pretty simple at the start. Apply for a loan, get pre-approved, find your home, and complete the tasks in your VU app. Where it gets complicated is underwriting, finances, appraisals, and paperwork processing. There is a lot of uploading documents and filling out paperwork as expected. Every application is different of course but my experience was good overall with some absurd hiccups. The longest part of my process was the appraisal which I thought was funny and frustrating. After reaching out to my loan officer and contacting the VA about the appraisal everything went smoothly. Expect to answer lots of phone calls, but leave lots of voicemails and emails. While it is annoying, they will get back to you as soon as they can. Overall, it wasn’t amazing but it was a good experience.
Overall, the process of buying a home with Veterans United was fairly straightforward, and they made it easy to go from offer to closing. Most of my questions were answered adequately and in a timely manner. Remember though that you are your best advocate and you know your financial status best, so try not to feel intimidated or pressured to accept terms or conditions that you don’t fully understand.
Everyone of their staff was extremely responsive, knowledgeable and helpful. They made the process flow and made our dream of buying another home possible.

Overall, Veterans United was so very easy to work with. They took time to answer all of my many questions and did so quickly and efficiently. They worked hard to get us preapproved and get us into a home that suited our needs. On top of that, they were friendly, quick to respond, not just to our relator, but to us personally. I'm so grateful for the team that worked on our loan. They put up with all of my nerves and did so with friendliness and professionalism. I appreciate all that they did!
