So Awesome and so kind ... such a blessing to work with ... thank you for making my dreams come true
Nick made me feel so safe going through this process. I have trust issues and I can be pretty pessimistic about things, but Nick was wonderful in explaining everything to me, giving me updates on the process at every stage. He really listened to my concerns and focused on allaying them. He was also very proactive preemptive, bringing up questions that I had but hadn’t been able to formulate and verbalize yet. He was kind and approachable without being the overly enthusiastic, over bearing “salesman” type. I could let my guard down.
Nick was great, a little problem with paperwork but he worked every thing out and got us everything we wanted. Thank you
Great service and always available to answer any questions.
Such an easy process, they were with us every step of the way. I highly recommend..
other than a minor gaff by who knows whom everything went smoothly
This is supposed to be a VA home loan, not conventional. I should not be paying PMI. I also do not pay County taxes so that portion of escrow is incorrect. I only pay homeowners insurance. So, where's all that extra money going? Not to me, not towards hazard insurance...
Of course, it's my fault that I didn't see this when signing original mortgage documents so I'm just getting screwed. Not anymore, I'm refinancing with another lender who can do it right. This is disgusting.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Nicole,
I’m really sorry this situation has been so frustrating, especially when it feels like the numbers don’t add up.
I do want to clarify a couple of key points based on your concerns. Your loan was structured as a conventional loan from the beginning of the process (contract to closing). When using second-tier entitlement while retaining another property, there are specific limits, including loan amount and occupancy requirements, that can impact VA eligibility. In those cases, a conventional loan may be the path forward, and that structure would have been reflected in the documents throughout the process.
Regarding escrow, I want to be clear that property taxes were not included in your escrow setup. Based on your exemption status and the final closing documents, escrow was established for homeowners insurance, not county taxes. If you’re seeing a higher payment than expected, I completely understand why that would raise concerns, and I’d like to help break down exactly how those figures are being applied.
You deserve a clear and transparent explanation of your loan and payment, and I’d really appreciate the opportunity to review everything with you one-on-one.

Randee, Jasin and Julie were all incredibly helpful. Buying a house adds a lot of stress and worry, but the three of them absolutely helped with making the process as easy as possible. I really look forward to hopefully working with Randee again for my next house.
Veteran United made my home buying experience stress free and very pleasant I highly recommend them.
My experience with veterans united was a great one Seth has been working with me for a few years and I appreciate his professionalism and patience because I was a picky buyer but we crossed the finish line . He kept the lines of communication open, if I texted or called he responded quickly.
We were in dire straights, our home had mold and I am disabled from Iraq. We turned to an internet search and we found Veteran's United. We went from a hotel to air bnb, but the team was there with us throughout the wait. Their kind words kept me sane, and my mind at ease. They never said we can't or anything negative to us. Sometimes I thought they were Superheroes. I will sing their praises, and HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to all my Veteran friends, and once again for me and my wife Katrina, and daughter Peyton thanks for our GREAT home and new lease on life.
