Outstanding from beginning to end
I would recommend Veterans United one thousand percent and then some. They were so communicative throughout the entire process. Never once did I feel as though I did not understand what was happening or lost. Any questions that I did have, they answered and were extremely patient. The entire VU team was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. It made me feel as though this was not my first time buying a home because it felt so natural. I was afraid the process would be long, hard, and maybe someone would pull the wool over my eyes. But the transparency of the VU team made all those fears go away. They truly are in this for the right reasons and it shows. They helped me and my family purchase our first home in less than a month and we are forever grateful and blessed!
Unfortunately, our experience with this lending company was extremely disappointing from start to finish.
Communication was consistently poor, and there were multiple instances where we were told things that were either inaccurate or seemed to change depending on who we spoke with. This created unnecessary confusion and stress during an already stressful process. We frequently felt as though we were being asked to provide or explain things that had already been addressed, and getting clear, consistent answers was incredibly difficult.
What was even more disappointing was the lack of professionalism in some of the interactions. We experienced communication that came across as rude and dismissive, and our realtor was also treated in a way that we felt was unnecessarily disrespectful and unprofessional. Our realtor worked extremely hard to keep everything moving and should not have had to deal with that type of communication.
Buying a home is a major financial decision, and you should be able to trust your lender to communicate clearly, provide accurate information, and work professionally with everyone involved in the transaction. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.
We are thankful the process is finally behind us, but based on our experience, I would not recommend this lending company. The entire process caused far more frustration and stress than it should have.
The online portal was very easy to use, and my reps were always responsive when I had questions.

I would be asked to provide information, I would and it would be accepted. A few days to week later, I would be told it wasn’t sufficient. I felt like everyone I was making progress forward, something would set me back again. Seemed like the person doing the underwriting was familiar with why state or county requirements. I was close to just not using. Waited till the last minute to ask again for something which set my closing back.
Veterans United is an Outstanding Team who I would work with again. Trustworthy and Professional with Genuine Support in securing homes for the Veteran Families.

The whole VU Team was a Godsent! Everything was easier with them and I felt like I didn’t have to worry about anything because they made sure they kept me updated, communicated frequently, and checked in on me. From the credit consultant (Brett), the loan specialist (Alex), the loan coordinator (Jaclyn) , the concierge (Nicky), and lastly my loan officer (Lance). They connected me with an amazing realtor, great resources to get things set up like security, WiFi, utility providers, etc. I can go on and on. Overall, I highly recommend if you want peace of mind through the home buying process!
