The entire process of getting a pre-approval up to the last week before closing went smoothly except at the very end when the appraisal didn't get uploaded until last minute which delayed my closing date. Otherwise I had a great experience with Veterans United and my team. Shoutout to my realtor, Kathleen, for helping me negotiate and point out important things for me, and my loan officer, Steve, who crunched all the numbers and got things moving quickly on the admin side of things. I'm very glad I chose Veterans United to purchase my first home. The whole home buying process seemed very overwhelming but they somehow made it understandable in bite size pieces. I was super anxious and lost at the beginning and they held my hand at each step. With their insurance brokerage, I found cheaper auto, home, and flood insurance.
Shawnee Holsten and her team (Amber Job) where are joy to work with. They were respectful, courteous, very responsive and thoughtful! Not to mention that we could feel that they were very experienced with the whole process. We enjoyed working with them very much. We also enjoyed how easy it was to engage with the online platforms.
