I would absolutely recommend Veterans United. My loan officer, Chase Anderson, was outstanding and deserves a 10/10. He was the one person throughout the entire home-buying process who consistently stayed on top of everything, communicated with me, followed up, answered my questions, and genuinely seemed to care about getting my family into our home.
A lot of the stress and delays we experienced were not caused by Veterans United. Many of the problems came from communication and coordination issues involving my real estate agent and the seller's side, particularly regarding what documents, title items, and other requirements were needed. Chase repeatedly stayed ahead of those issues and helped keep the transaction moving.
I am giving Veterans United a 9/10 because the overall home-buying process was stressful, but I do not believe that was Veterans United's fault. If I were rating Chase individually, he would receive a 10/10 without hesitation. I would use Veterans United again, especially if I could work with Chase.

Paul and Alison are a great team they did a fantastic job for us. They answered all our questions. And were always very friendly and made us always feel like we mattere$!d and whike I know we were not their only client they always made us feel that away. Overall a great job. However there were last minute requirements that were not brought to the table earlier that should have been. One is the requirement for a Nitrate test when a house is on a well water system.
This is my 5th home loan and it was by far the easiest one I've done! Although I think the portal could be improved upon in a couple ways, I spent far less time dealing with the administrative process of the loan than any of my previous other experiences. It was so smooth and easy that I can count on one hand the number of times I had to log on to upload or go through a lot of documentation. Only two things I can recommend to improve upon are (1) enable multiple file upload on the portal and (2) more frequent communications or reminders when things are needed.
I'm very glad I chose Veterans United to purchase my first home. The whole home buying process seemed very overwhelming but they somehow made it understandable in bite size pieces. I was super anxious and lost at the beginning and they held my hand at each step. With their insurance brokerage, I found cheaper auto, home, and flood insurance.
