Getting the requirements was a bit challenging but it was more updated information that I needed to provide a second time around to the website. I hope that my relationship with VU will continue to be a positive and pleasant one as we move into the long term servicing portion of my loan.
When other lenders turned me down because of my credit score, Veterans United didn't bat an eye and set me up with an in-house credit specialist (Susan Ripley) who guided me through quickly raising my credit score so I could qualify for a loan. This was especially important because I had 45 days to put in an offer or move out of the unit I had been living in for a decade and I was not prepared at all to purchase a home. The entire team was goal oriented and supportive.

I felt we were in good hands with knowledgeable people that really understood the benefits of a VA home loan and other VA benefits such as Disability benefits that really help when dealing with high costs properties. Ryan Ashburn is truly a team player who worked well with the agent Matt who was also there when you needed him.
Recommend fixing the app, there were times I was unable to log on. However, every person that my wife and I interacted with throughout this home buying experience was phenomenal. Professional, hospitable, and very knowledgeable, the team was able to make this first time experience very informative and stress free throughout the entire process.
This experience has made me realized that people talk smack about veterans united for no reason because Spencer was very helpful and made sure I was getting my monies worth. At no point did I feel like I was being ripped off or cheated out of a better deal. I had other loan officers I was working with to get better deals but no one could come close to veterans united. I even had one loan officer told me to definitely stick with veterans united.
Well, I already mentioned how wonderful our experience was with VU, so I'll just tell you that you're all great again!

Jamie and the team were amazing!!! She felt like family, literally a sistah from another mistah. She answered a billion of my questions (and yes even my not so thought out ones). As well as kept me in check and disciplined so that I could finally purchase my first home. I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience with Jamie and the VU team!! If any of you out there are questioning should I got with VU and Jamie. I’m telling you that you can’t go wrong.
I went into this process thinking I would still end up renting , but from the day I meet Kai and he looked at life on paper ... he said you can do this all by yourself ( I thought I needed a co-signer ) nevertheless he was right! This young man is awesome and knows his stuff! I found what I wanted in March and closed in April ! Wow!
