We all benefit from helpful guidance and advice from our peers and those who've advanced in the field. Today, I want to introduce you to Lynn Pineda, a real estate agent with a passion for social media and blogging.
Lynn is a top-producing Realtor located in Coral Springs, Fla. Lynn's motto is "Real Estate promised delivered." She serves Coral Springs and South Florida buyers and sellers and frequently works with short sales.
In addition to delivering on promises to her clients, Lynn also connects with and educates other agents on social media.
I recently talked with Lynn and asked her a few questions to help educate us all on how she's become so successful.
Choosing to become a real estate agent offers you unlimited opportunity if you’re dedicated to learning the real estate profession. It’s an ongoing learning process that requires you to dig in and get yourself educated on real estate and your local real estate market. If you do it with zeal, it will turn to great passion and joy for the job. In fact, it won’t even feel like a job as you’ll wonder why you didn't start sooner! Getting the correct training is so important in getting off to the right start. For me, Keller Williams Realty steered me in the right direction with the best training program out there for new agents.
Next to being a special kind of customer due to their honored service with the United States of America’s military, a VA buyer will likely show up well qualified for homeownership as either an active military member or veteran and their eligible families. A VA buyer will have sought out what home loan financing they are qualified for, as they know that they are allowed specific considerations for their service to our country. Knowing this, they will likely have already received their eligibility certificate before even picking up the phone to call us as a real estate agent. They’ll be ready to begin their home search without having to first get approved for financing.
Though there are many great social media sites, I would have to say, without a doubt, Google+. It’s Google and in my opinion the best search engine available to us. Who wouldn't want to be involved with the best? In addition, Google+’s stage is set up to encourage engagement, growth through learning, the development of my real estate business and also simply the sure joy of establishing some great networks and friendships.
Choosing a niche market for the current market conditions. Don’t try to be a jack of all trades. Focus on an area of the market that you want to specialize in and go after it with all you've got, learning all you can. Don’t just rely on what your brokerage may provide but seek out information from others who are experts in the niche you've chosen. When the time may come, with a market shift, you can adjust your sail if needed to open up additional opportunities.
Being a real estate agent within the ever fluctuating real estate market is not easy, and it’s not a 9-to-5 job. But if you work hard, and you'll have to work hard, you can have a very rewarding career that brings you a lot of joy and satisfaction. My only regret it that I didn't choose a career in real estate earlier in my life.
