Marissa Newberry
Marissa graduated college with a bachelor’s degree in Communications. Upon graduation she worked for a non-profit running a training department and providing hands on behavioral training for individuals with Autism for 4 years. After that she made her move into the mortgage industry as a Loan Officer where she has enjoyed guiding our Veterans through the home loan process for over six years. Her passion to help others and her strengths in effective communication help her provide exemplary customer service to her borrowers.
Her husband is a Veteran as well as a Loan Officer at Veterans United. They have a young son, Maddex and an eight year old dog, Moby. Their family enjoys doing just about anything outdoors. They typically spend their weekends boating at the Lake of the Ozarks or riding their Harley’s around mid-Missouri as the weather allows. Even their son Maddex, who turned five in 2018 has his own motorcycle (it does still have training wheels however as he isn’t quite big enough for it yet).
Marissa’s career experience, educational background and passion for giving allow her to provide service that can’t be matched.

Do not use the va appraisal that was used on my close. They were slow, did not communicate anything, and did a poor good at inspection of the house(for the va appraisal process). Besides that everyone else that I worked with was great, helpful, communicated well, and all worked together to close on my new home.

3rd time using VU and 2nd time with Marissa she's amazing
The experience we had with Veterans United was awesome. Easy to work with, well structured portal were I could find the needed information and upload requested documents easily, and great people. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable, never once giving us the feeling we were interrupting their day with our random calls, confident they were on top of what needed to be done or what we could expect. Keep up the great work! If you have a chance to work with the "A" team (MarissA, ShaynA, AliscA), take it.
