Mike Stalling
Mike was born and raised in Columbia, MO. He had a paper route and mowed yards for extra money at an early age which gave him a strong work ethic and understanding of customer service which has served him well throughout his life. Mike graduated from MU and married his Jr. High sweetheart and worked in management roles for 20 years before settling down with Veterans United. Mike has two fantastic teenage kids now, enjoys time with family, making smoked BBQ, and working on cars in his spare time. He finds that helping Veterans and active duty service members with their home loans is a really rewarding honor. He gets to serve those that have served with straight talk and integrity and make the process understandable. As a bonus, he gets to do this work for a company that has the same values that he does.

The team was extremely helpful and worked to ensure we understood every aspect of our decision. They let us know when we were getting a good deal or when we should pass on making an offer. We were able to do video walkthroughs of houses during the pandemic with our real estate agent and they would highly problem areas and oversights in the home design and whether the house was actually worth the price. We likely wouldn't have bought a house for a few more years if Veterans United hadn't been a resource for us to use.
Overall if I had the choice to buy a phone, car or house ... I would go with Mike and Cara and buy a house.. this was the most hassle free purchase I’ve ever made .. great job veterans United, you have some great employees!
I read dozens of reviews before calling VU and I did not think all the five star reviews were real. Well, from the very beginning to the end, the entire process went smoothly and I felt my loan officer was always helpful! I had a pleasant experience and I'm grateful for everyone at VU who helped me during my home buying process!
