You cost me money. It was all set up to have the closing cost in the buyers money and I was told the closing cost was $8000.00 so that left $2000.00 to get back to cover the appraisal and bug inspection and anything else that came up. I said earlier in the application time not to pay down the interest or points on the interest and but no they went and used $3000.00 to pay down the interest and there was another problem that had to be fixed to get the seller the right amount of money that they were to receive after all the problems and payment to lower my interest that made me have to pay $300.00 at closing and I was told that’s what I was getting back wrong! I didn’t bring my check book and that caused problems to fix real fast. You made my closing a real bad experience and the person closing didn't like it or the seller made things take longer and me look stupid because I didn’t know what was going on. The day before fixing application because they didn’t have the right amounts and changing my interest and said that I was still going to get $2000.00 back to cover some of the things I had to pay for. So o I am not happy.

Response from Veterans United

Hi Ricky,
I’m sorry your closing experience left you feeling frustrated and caught off guard. Buying a home is already a significant process, and I understand how upsetting it can be when the numbers and expectations you had going into closing don’t match what you encounter at the closing table.

I’d like the opportunity to take a closer look at your concerns, including the changes you described and the communication leading up to closing. Please reach out to the Client Advocate team at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com so I can learn more about what happened.

Our team is available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Friday. Messages received outside those hours are typically answered the next business day.

Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager
