Too many people involved for one loan, things get missed and mixed up in the process leading to more stress and confusion, plus my loan coordinator was using ChatGPT to answer questions I had, I would’ve done that myself, also the final closing disclosure was shocking as it increased the cash to close by $6k, how was that not brought up before hand on all the other loan estimates. General attitude of my loan coordinator was unacceptable, it resorted to my wife doing all of the paperwork with her because I couldn’t talk to her. I don’t think there’s a need for a loan coordinator if the loan officer is the one asking for all the documentation to send to the underwriter. I wouldn’t go through with this or a VA home loan again because of this experience.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Tralin,
I’m sorry this process left you feeling more stressed and confused instead of supported. Having multiple people involved should never leave you wondering who is responsible for what or feeling like your questions aren’t being answered directly. I’m also concerned to hear about your experience getting answers to your questions and the communication with your loan team.
I can understand how upsetting it would be to see a significant change in the amount needed at closing without feeling like you had a clear explanation beforehand. Changes can occur throughout the loan process, but you deserve to understand what changed and why.
I appreciate you taking the time to share these concerns. I’d like the opportunity to look more closely at your experience and the communication you received throughout the process. Please reach out to me at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com.
Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager
The company that they use for titles/ notary on refinancing was awesome. Came to our house. Super nice gentleman! Super nice, and patient with our young kids. Nothing but positive to say about veterans United for our first home loan, refinancing and the people that helped with signatures!
