Throughout college, Nathan played basketball at Moberly Area Community College and then landed at William Woods University. He earned team MVP honors, an all-conference selection, and graduated with an MBA. An avid lifter throughout his life, in 2018, competed and placed 5th overall in his first Men’s Physique (bodybuilding) competition.
