Tyson is a licensed Loan Officer that has been with Veterans United since 2022. Raised in a small town in rural Mid-Missouri, Tyson graduated from the University of Missouri with a double major in Finance and Economics.
Outside of helping veterans navigate their homebuying journey, Tyson is an avid sports enthusiast, with a love for golf, basketball, baseball, and football. He’s a die-hard fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Mizzou Tigers.

Tyson and Cole are an awesome team!
I personally wanted everything to be front-loaded so that everything could be taken care of as soon as possible, and to be given the freedom to openly express relevant concerns. I also enjoy personnel that can handle the brash and informal manner in which I conduct my own affairs. The team to which I was assigned exceeded my expectations by a mile. Patient, open with communication, and able to simplify things while adapting to any knowledge I already had. Incredible work all around. No complaints.
For 2 and a half years I’ve been working with Tyson Smith, and after I went under contract the rest of the team came in to work the home stretch. Joedi made sure I have information I needed to get home life set up before even closing. Kayla was good to work with as well. She made sure I had the paperwork I needed to get signed and back. There is a thank you for all the behind the scenes work and those people. Last is my realtor in Wichita, thank you to Catalina.
