Negative Review of Veterans United Home LoansVeterans United Home Loans is a well-known lender specializing in VA loans, but my experience with them was far from positive. From the outset, the process felt unnecessarily complicated and communication was inconsistent. The loan officers seemed overwhelmed and were slow to respond to my questions, often leaving me waiting days for simple updates or clarification. One of the most frustrating aspects was the lack of transparency regarding fees and required documentation. I was repeatedly asked to provide the same documents, and each time, new requirements seemed to appear out of nowhere. This not only delayed the process but also made me feel like the company was disorganized and not respectful of my time.Additionally, the promised closing timeline was not met. Despite assurances that everything was on track, my closing was delayed multiple times with little explanation. This caused a great deal of stress and forced me to make last-minute arrangements, costing me both time and money. It has been almost Two months since closing. I was told over a month ago that I was owed another $1,000. This mortgage company has had terrible customer service from the beginning. Many of the items that should have been coordinated with my loan broker should have been completed by them, but I never heard from them during the whole process. I had to call them, and then they were very vague and unhelpful. I think their people are working on too many projects. Do not expect customer service. Especially after closing, once they get their money, you will not hear from them, even though you have no idea if they followed through. One thing is for sure, they get paid.Overall, I expected much more from a company that advertises itself as a leader in serving veterans. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Veterans United Home Loans to others seeking a smooth and professional home loan process. Especially if you are a disabled veteran and have a hard time doing what is necessary.
