My overall experience was not a pleasant one. I was supposed to close the week before I had to move out of my apartment, and due to delays and lack of communication/follow up I ended up being delayed 6 days on closing. I had my household items in a house I didn’t own or have access to (thanks to the seller being very accommodating because of the situation), and had to find other arrangements for a place to stay for 4 days until I could close. My realtor who has dealt with Veteran’s United countless times also stated that she had never had such an unpleasant experience in dealing with them. (Gives me hope that others have had positive experiences and I just didn’t.)
