Overall I had a great team, and would recommend them to others
Danielle did a great job replying to emails quickly despite her child being in the hospital. However, my overall experience was incredibly frustrating. For someone who was previously in mortgage lending, I felt I was constantly trying to keep up with unspoken changes in the loan requirements. I was most frustrated with the number of phone calls I received at the beginning of the process (many) vs toward the end of the process when I needed communication most (one). Mostly I was discouraged that the real estate agent received information about what we could afford before I did, despite the fact that I had asked multiple times and had to correct the lender about our finances. If I could do it over again, I would just use my local bank.
Response from Veterans United
Stephanie, we take your feedback seriously and we appreciate your willingness to acknowledge this situation. Providing clear and effective communication is a top priority. We care deeply about customer service and a member of our Client Advocate team would love an opportunity to discuss your loan experience in greater detail. It is always our goal to strive for improvements, and acknowledge any mistakes made along the way. We look forward to learning more about what may have caused you to feel this way.
Only problem I had was with seller she took too long on her part so my interest rate went up half a point which is costing me 50-75 more a month and around 22k over the term of loan.
