The Team at Veterans United made the whole home buying process a joy. Haley and Jack reached out every step of the way and answered all my first time home buyer questions immediately.

The loan process was very confusing. What was the most frustrating part for me was your loan officer insisting that my debt be paid off through escrow. I wanted to pay it off immediately but not allowed. This cost me more than a month's interest charges on my substantial debt and then I find out that escrow doesn't payoff these debts electronically and uses paper checks! This adds at a minimum another week of interest charges! Escrow closed 5 days ago, and my debt still hasn't been paid. Also of consequence is the fact that my credit score will not be upgraded for another month! B>S>!

Response from Veterans United

Hi Albert,
I’m sorry the loan process left you feeling confused and frustrated. I can understand why being required to handle your debt payoff differently than you expected, and then waiting for those payments to be processed after closing, would be concerning. You deserved clear communication about the process, including what to expect with the timing of those payments.

I’d like the opportunity to review your experience more closely and better understand what happened. Please reach out to me at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com so we can discuss your concerns privately.

Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager
