Mr. Hopper grew up in Sedalia, a small town in Mid-Missouri right outside of Whiteman Air Force Base. Although I didn't require all of the services offered, Veterans United can basically be a one stop shop for purchasing a home. They walked me through the process using a series of tasks to be completed and were easily available to answer any of my questions. Lance and his team are the best!

As a first time home buyer, I went through a rollercoaster of emotions throughout this process. Lance Hopper and his team went out of their way to make sure I knew what to expect through the process. I even had a family emergency during this process that put things on pause. The first thing that Lance said to me was take care of family and we'll still be here. Throughout this process, I did not just feel like another number with Veterans United. As a Marine, I have always had a mentality of "get things done"....but with Veterans United, they made sure I was prepared for the whole process.
I am confident in my loan, but thought it would be structured differently to lower my mortgage. Instead everything else upfront was covered, even giving me money back. Reading so much about rate-buy down from seller credits, underwriting seemed uninterested in even answering direct questions as to why they chose to structure the loan the way they did after I asked about structuring it a different way that worked very well on my end. Either way, I’m happy to close!
