VU was quick and communicated well. I moved from Florida to Rhode Island, buying a house soght unseen. VU helped to make this process significantly less stressful. Both Seth and Bri were available and quick to respond to any questions, explaining processes easily.

Difficult to get ahold of, help was miniscule. Nothing explained well and fees and add ons kept going up.

Response from Veterans United

Hi Lawrence,

I'm sorry to hear your experience fell short of your expectations. It sounds like you were left feeling unsupported and without the clear communication you deserved, especially when it came to understanding the process and the costs involved. I appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective.

I'd like the chance to learn more about what happened and review your experience with you. If you're willing, please contact me at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. The Client Advocate team is available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time. If you reach out outside those hours, we'll typically respond the next business day.

Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager

Some of the communications were slow when it came closer to closing time. Other than that everything went smooth. I'm still waiting to find out how to pay my mortgage and if the HOA dues are paid out of the impound.

Seth Crain was very professional throughout the long process. He was available to answer all of our questions and helped us through some tricky situations with never a complaint.
Would highly recommend Veterans United and ask for Seth.

Underwriting was a complete pain. Will have to fight them about
My tax exempt status on property taxes. Their legal department thinks they determine my status..... not the state of Arizona. Just like I had to educate them on hauled water laws.

Response from Veterans United

Hi Bryan,

I’m really sorry to hear how frustrating this part of the process was for you. Underwriting can already feel overwhelming, and having to repeatedly explain details like your property tax status and hauled water situation only adds to that stress.

I understand how discouraging it must have been to feel like you had to advocate so strongly for information that’s specific to your state. Situations like these can sometimes require additional clarification, but that should come with clear communication and a sense that you’re being heard and supported throughout the process. It sounds like we missed that mark here.

If you’re open to it, please reach out so I can help. You can contact my team at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We're available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Friday, and we typically respond the next business day if you reach out after hours.

Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager
