3.5 out of 5 Stars

I've used Veterans United for four home purchases and was really excited to use them again. This time, however, I felt a little bit like an afterthought. For more reasons than one, I felt that my desires were not getting through to my loan servicing team. Communication could have been better. I sent several thorough emails and received one sentence responses 7 days later. When I'm up against the clock, have work obligation, and I'm dealing with something as expensive as buying a house, I'd expect a little more prompt and substantial feedback. All in all the experience was fine and I would still recommend Veterans United but I would encourage other lenders to ensure that their responses and timeliness are commiserate with what they're receiving.

Some people were good some people I had to beg them to send me stuff they said they would send a week ago on multiple occasions. Some people would have good response times (within a couple days) some people would ghost me for weeks after I tried multiple times to get into contact with them. Some people when I needed something from you guys would get me my help. Some people the only time they would communicate with me is when they needed something from me.

Response from Veterans United

Hey Ryne,
I appreciate you sharing this with us. I’m glad there were people along the way who were responsive and helpful, but I’m sorry that wasn’t consistent throughout your experience. Having to follow up multiple times for something you were expecting, or going weeks without hearing back, can make an already stressful process much more frustrating.

Communication should feel like a two-way street, and I understand why it was disappointing to feel like you were sometimes only hearing from us when something was needed from you. I’d like to learn more about your experience and make sure your feedback is heard. Please reach out to my Client Advocate team at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. The team is available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time, and messages received outside those hours are typically answered the next business day.

Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager
